Care Kits
From mystery marks to everyday wear, your sectional sofa, ottoman, and armchair takes it all in stride. Care Cover's leather and fabric products step in to handle spills, stains, and accidents, keeping your furniture looking and feeling its best without changing the finish.
What is in each kit
Our sofa cleaner kits pair a targeted cleaner with a matching protector and a soft microfibre cloth, one kit for leather and one for fabric. The targeted cleaner lifts and eliminates stains, dirt, and grime, while the protector adds a light finish that slows down the next smudge or stain from settling in.
This range covers couches and armchairs. For wood, rugs, or mattresses, you'll want a dedicated cleaning product; these kits are built specifically for upholstered seating.
How often to clean and protect your sofa
Deal with spills the moment they land, blotting rather than rubbing so the stain doesn't sink deeper into the fabric. Vacuum on low suction in between, and run the full clean-and-protect every three to six months, sooner if your household runs busy with kids or pets. The cleaners are water-based and free of harsh solvents, so they're safe to use as often as life demands.
And if a mark won't budge, you're still covered. The 5-year Care Cover plan handles any stain or accidental spill that can't be fully removed, giving your sofa added protection and peace of mind. Clean regularly, and your sofa keeps looking its best for years, not months.
FAQ
To keep your leather sofa looking its best in Australian homes, steer clear of soaps, detergents, or oil-based cleaners, and always test products on a hidden spot first. Shield it from direct sunlight and heat, blot spills straight away, and use a little baking powder for greasy marks. Regular dusting and gentle wiping keep leather soft, supple, and vibrant, while Care Cover provides extra peace of mind for everyday spills and mishaps.
To keep your fabric looking and feeling its best, vacuum it at least twice a month to prevent dust from settling. If you’ve got furry friends, increase it to once a week to clean hair and odours. Damp dust regularly to freshen up fabrics and pretreat with an upholstery protector for an extra layer of defence against spills and everyday mishaps. For spills, always blot rather than rub to avoid damaging fibres or spreading the spot, and spot clean with a mild water-based upholstery cleaner, testing first on an inconspicuous area.
Yes, an upholstery cleaner is safe for most Castlery sofas, but the specifics matter. Always patch test on a hidden section first. Our own fabric and leather kits are formulated to suit the woven upholstery, performance fabric, and pigmented leathers we use, so they are the safest match for your furniture. If you’re using a cleaner from elsewhere, avoid anything containing soaps, detergents, or oil-based solvents. Those can leave a residue that dulls fabric fibres and dries out leather over time.
Our leather sofa cleaner is safe for the pigmented and semi-aniline leathers used across Castlery’s leather sofa range, including the Eden, Jaron, and Isaac collections. Cleaning a mark takes three steps:
- Patch test first: Before the first use, test on a hidden spot, the back of a cushion or the underside of the seat, so you know how the leather responds.
- Lift the mark: Wipe the marked area with the leather cleaner and the supplied microfibre cloth, blotting rather than rubbing so you don't work the mark in deeper.
- Protect and condition: Follow with the leather protector across the whole seating surface and let it dry before use, which conditions the leather and guards it against the next spill.
Made for woven upholstery and performance weaves, our fabric sofa cleaner works across Castlery's fabric range and performance fabric furniture, from the Agnes and Dawson ranges to looped textures like the Marlow. Bouclé and other loops take the same steps, just with a lighter touch so they stay intact. Similarly, cleaning a stain takes three steps:
- Test a hidden spot: Before the first clean, dab a little cleaner on an out-of-sight panel to check how the weave takes it.
- Blot from the outside in: Work the upholstery cleaner into the mark with the supplied cloth, moving inward from the edges so you're not pushing the stain wider.
- Seal it with a protector: Once dry, coat the seat, back, and arms with the fabric protector, so the next spill beads on top instead of soaking through.
