A Guide to Mori Collection–An iF Design Award Winner
We design furniture for the moments when you finally kick off your shoes and stop thinking about everything else—the stretch-out with a book, a dinner that lingers too long, or the extra seat that suddenly becomes essential.
That’s where the Mori Collection comes in. Recently recognised with the iF Design Award, its low, open forms, floating base, and soft silhouettes balance comfort and refinement, complementing life rather than interrupting it.
If you’ve ever questioned whether something can feel comfortable without looking overly relaxed, or look refined without feeling untouchable, Mori sits somewhere in between. Quietly, without making a point of it.
Why the Mori Collection feels different
Low, grounded profile: Designed to sit closer to the floor, creating a more relaxed visual line that doesn’t dominate the room.
Deep, feather-filled seats: Built for longer sits, with cushioning that feels soft on first contact but still holds its shape.
Spill-resistant, removable covers: Performance fabric that buys you time when cups tip over, paired with covers you can take off and maintain.
Modular configurations that adapt to you: Snap-in sections, movable layouts, and add-ons that let you rework your seating without starting over.
What lives inside the Mori Collection
The Mori Collection isn’t just a sofa or a chair—it’s a coordinated set of pieces designed to move, expand, and adapt with your home.
At its core, you’ll find:
2-seater and 3-seater sofas, L-shaped options, and chaise sectionals
Armchairs and ottomans
Coffee tables, side tables, and armrest tables
Everything is designed to work together, so you’re not piecing a room from scratch each time.
Key features of the Mori Collection
Low profiles, deep feather-filled seats, spill-resistant covers, and modular layouts all combine to create a design that works as beautifully as it looks—details that also contributed to its iF Design Award recognition.
A low, grounded profile that changes how a room feels
The first thing you notice about the Mori Collection’s seating options is how it sits. Across the collection, you’ll find:
Seat height: ~43 cm (16.9”)
Seat depth: ~70 cm, sofa (27.6”); ~130 cm, chaise (51.2”)
Backrest height: ~40 cm (15.7)
Armrest height: ~52 cm (20.5”)
Leg height: ~13 cm (5.1”)
These measurements come together to create a lower, more relaxed seating posture. The seat height keeps you grounded, while the deeper seat gives you room to shift, stretch, or sit cross-legged without feeling restricted. Even the armrest height is considered—low enough to feel unobtrusive, but still supportive when you need it.
Its engineered floating base was designed to appear almost weightless while remaining completely stable—a subtle detail that helped the collection earn the iF Design Award.
In smaller living rooms, this matters more than you’d think. A low-profile sofa doesn’t cut the room in half visually, so everything feels a little more expansive. In larger spaces, it does the opposite in a good way; bringing the room down to a more human level, making it feel lived-in rather than staged.
It also shifts how you use the sofa. You’re not perched upright or sitting too formally. You lean back, stretch out, and stay a little longer without thinking about it.

Deep, feather-filled seats you can sink into
The seating of the Mori sofas is intentionally generous. With a deeper seat depth (70 cm) and feather-filled cushions, it’s designed for more than just sitting.
There’s an initial softness when you land, thanks to the feather and fibre mix, but underneath that is structure. Foam and pocket springs keep everything from collapsing over time, so you’re supported even as you sink in.
This balance is what makes the difference. Too soft, and you’re constantly readjusting. Too firm, and you never fully relax. Mori’s sweet spot is in the middle, where comfort doesn’t come at the expense of support. It’s the kind of seat that works just as well for a quick coffee as it does for an unplanned nap.
Spill-resistant, removable covers that keep up with real life
Furniture tends to fall apart the moment real life shows up. A drink spills, something stains, and suddenly you’re either covering it up or working around it.
Mori approaches this differently. The fabric is spill-resistant, which means liquids bead on the surface long enough for you to do something about it. It doesn’t panic at the first sign of use, which already makes it easier to live with.
Then, there are the removable covers. Seat, back, and pillow covers can all be taken off, cleaned, and put back without turning it into a whole process. It’s a small detail, but over time, it changes how you feel about using your own furniture.

Modular configurations that move with you
The Mori Collection isn’t fixed, and that’s the point.
With modular components and snap-in clips, you can shift your setup depending on how your space evolves. A chaise can expand into a full sectional. Ottomans can be added, moved, or removed depending on how you use the space that week.
This flexibility works especially well for homes that aren’t static. If you move, rearrange often, or just like the option of changing things up without replacing everything, Mori gives you that freedom.
What makes it work is that the modularity isn’t obvious. It doesn’t look pieced together or overly engineered. It still reads as one cohesive sofa, just one that happens to adapt quietly in the background.
Materials that make Mori last
The Mori Collection isn’t just about how it looks, it’s about how it stands up to real life. Every choice in frame, upholstery, and filling was considered for comfort, durability, and longevity.
Frame and structure
Engineered wood and plywood form a strong, stable core
Legs crafted from engineered wood with an oak veneer finish
The result is a frame that feels solid under everyday use, but light enough that the sofa maintains its signature low, floating profile.
Upholstery
67% polyester, 23% viscose, 10% linen
Performance fabric that resists spills while staying soft to the touch
Removable covers for easy maintenance and customisation
This combination gives texture, durability, and practicality. You can live on it, spill on it, and still have it look and feel intentional.
Seat and back filling
Layered foam, fibre, and responsibly sourced feathers
Pocket springs in the seat to provide structure beneath the softness
The feather filling adds that inviting sink-in comfort, while the internal support ensures the sofa keeps its shape over years of use. The responsible sourcing of the feathers was also a factor in the iF Design Award recognition, aligning sustainability with comfort.
The Mori Collection: Furniture that just works
The Mori Collection doesn’t demand careful handling or constant admiration.
It’s built for the unplanned hours—the coffee that lingers, the impromptu nap, the evenings that stretch longer than expected. Furniture that quietly keeps up while life moves around it.
The iF Design Award is a nice nod, but the real proof is in daily use. Over time, you notice how effortlessly everything fits together, supports you, and disappears into the rhythm of your home; doing its job without ever asking for attention.
